We are a group of local residents based in Barras, Arbuthnott, Catterline and Kinneff (B.A.C.K.) who have formed an action group, campaigning against the recent planning application from St Johns Hill Ltd, to build a wind farm on St Johns Hill, which is on the border of Barras and Kinneff.

The developer is proposing to install 10 turbines, each of which is 100m (about 328 feet) tall.  These turbines are so large that they will be seen for miles e.g. from Stonehaven, Cairn 'O' Mount, Portlethen etc.

Because we so strongly feel that this development will have a significant negative impact on Barras, Arbuthnott, Kinneff and Catterline, as well as a considerable impact on Drumlithie and Inverbervie we have formed an action group to campaign against the development.
